Comando G La Bruja 2023

Sierra de Gredos, Madrid, SpainComando G is a partnership of minds, mates and winemakers Fernando GarcĂa and Daniel Landi. They were drawn to the near-forgotten high altitude old-vine vineyards of Sierra de Gredos, near Madrid, and began to gain the trust of the previous generation(s) who had tended to these wind-swept vines for the Co-ops. With time, came trust, and the chance to see these old vines into these in-demand wines. La Bruja is a regional wine from organic vineyards in the area averaging 1000m, and 60 year old vines in granite, sand and silt. It was native fermented with 100% whole clusters before aging 8 months in foudres from 15hL to 60 hL, bottled without fining or filtration. Perfumed cherry, raspberry is lofted with an easy mountain acidity, and framed with fine, long tannins to a crushed stone, crushed floral, saline finish. Great finesse, from the excellent 2023 vintage.Tasted: 22 November 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
