Champagne Stanislas Bonafé Cuvée 07 2012
Champagne, FranceStanislas has 30+ years experience as sales manager / managing director of major Champagne houses, setting up his own brokerage agency in 2009, and creating this eponymous range in 2020. This 50/50 blend of pinot noir and chardonnay comes from 7 GC villages: Mesnil sur Oger, Ambonnay, Aÿ, Chouilly, Oger, Cramant, and Avize. After 9 years sur lattes, it was disgorged December 2022, with 9 g/L. The extended time on lees makes this a richer style, with ample brioche, toast, red apple, and cherry liqueur across a hazelnut base. There is a great firm chardonnay backbone taking this through the lemon and gingerbread finish.
