Stellenbosch, Coastal Region, South AfricaCapensis is a South African wine project owned by California's Jackson Family Wines, focusing solely on Chardonnay. Silene is exclusively from Stellenbosch fruit, and 4 vineyards within. All aged in French oak (30% new) over 10 months prior to blending. Pouring a deeper yellow hue, this ripe and creamy chardy leads with lemon curd, creamed corn, and white peach along the fuller 14% palate. Vanillin barrel spice seasons, while lemon meringue acidity carries this through the finish.
