Cantina del Pino Langhe Nebbiolo 2024
Langhe, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyThe Vacca family has been living and working the vines at Cantina del Pino, one of the oldest estates in Barbaresco, since the 1920s when Giuseppe Vacca, bought the property. Branching out from the legendary Produttori del Barbaresco Cooperative, Renato Vacca (the great grandson of Giuseppe Vacca) convinced his father, Adriano, to start their own label in 1997. In 2013, Renato's wife Franca joined the winery, and took over winemaking when Renato sadly passed in 2020. This Langhe Nebbiolo spent 8 months in large oak casks. Fragrant raspberry, cherry, dried florals is alluringly seasoned with a fragrant spice box, and framed with long, finely grippy / sticky tannins to a peppery finish. As with all their wines, there's a great freshness, yet stoic reserve here. Drinking now, and with time ahead.Tasted: 07 November 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:| BC | $40.00 | 750ml | private wine stores |
