Unsworth Vineyards Pinot Noir Zanatta Vineyard 2023

Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaOne of 4 single vineyard Unsworth pinot noirs released from the 2023 vintage, this comes off a single block from Cowichan's Zanatta Vineyard, which contains some of the oldest, unidentified pinot noir clones in the Valley. Rooted in steep slopes of glacial river stones, this was whole berry fermented in stainless, before aging 15 months in French oak (15% new). Crushed cherry, wild raspberry, river stones stream along the slender palate, with tart rhubarb acidity finishing with a bright snap. Tannins are slight and sticky, welcoming pairing. One to enjoy now, ideally with roasted salmon.Tasted: 05 August 2026Tasted by: Prices:
