Mendoza, ArgentinaExpect an unpretentious, modern, New World chardonnay that offers a satisfying experience at its price point. While most people associate malbec with Argentina, chardonnay has also shown great promise, especially in cooler regions with less oak influence. These grapes are hand harvested, destemmed, and fermented. Approximately 30% undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages sur lie on the spent yeast for 9 months in both French and American oak barrels. The nose and palate are led by citrus, with medium mid-palate weight and refreshing apples, nectarines, and a hint of marzipan.
