Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileCabernario sounds a bit cheesy, but Santa Rita is hardly a cheesy cabernet producer. In fact, they are a Chilean superstar working in one of the best cabernet sauvignon terroirs, utilizing ungrafted vines in the Alto Maipo. No. 3, a blend of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, and petite sirah, has a fresh red fruit nose of plums, cherries, and raspberries, with a streak of vanilla.
