Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaRosso is Riverview's house blend of 40% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Syrah, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Pinot Noir. Each was aged separately in a combination of American and French Oak barrels for 12 months of aging. Pouring a browning / bricking hue, this tart red is in the deep autumn of its life, with some tired cherry, rhubarb, and forest floor notes. Tannins are negligible, and the palate is smooth.
