Laughing Stock Vineyards Chardonnay +25/09 2022
Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaExpect a cooler, floral, orange blossom nose, with a mix of citrus peels and coconut shavings. Yellow apples, ripe pears, and lemon custard are supported by a fresh undercurrent of acidity and minerality. The 2022 season started late, but that was forgotten during a warm, dry September and October. The fruit comes from two South Okanagan Valley vineyards: Thomas Ranch, and Darkhorse Vineyard. The grapes are whole cluster pressed and fermented 84% in barrels and 16% in concrete eggs. In this vintage, 25% of the French oak barrels were new. The wine was aged for 9 months sur lie, with partial malolactic conversion allowed.
