It is an apple sparkling wine made in the traditional method, with a framboise dosage. The bouquet presents an inviting blend of green Granny Smith apple, mixed with light autolytic, leesy notes. The attack is a mix of intense fresh apple that permeates its delicate, nearly dry finish. At 11% alcohol, it is well suited to brunch servings. The winery recommends pairing this wine with seafood such as prawns, lobster, oysters, and sushi. It also worked exceptionally well with a chocolate brownie. The Little King lives in memory of Del and Miranda's son, Rex, who tragically passed away in 2002 as a result of an unsafe sleeping environment while he was in the hospital. This year, for the first time, the proceeds from each bottle sale are donated to OneSky. This South Okanagan program provides prenatal classes, postpartum circles, and essential supplies for new parents and young families.
