Champagne Louis Roederer 2016
Montagne de Reims, Champagne, FranceLouis Roederer acquired 37 acres in Verzenay Grand Cru in 1850 to control grape quality for his cuvée. Today, the estate's 600 acres are organically and biodynamically farmed. The champagne features a refined mousse, subtle cherry, toast, hazelnut, and mineral notes, but none of its many attributes stand out Instead, they disappear into its creamy textures and long, pensive saline finish. It's a high quality wine that can age for another 5 years. The 2016 growing season was challenging, with a cool, wet spring and a hot, dry summer. This vintage Roederer blends 68% pinot noir and 32% chardonnay, with 33% vinified in oak and 5% undergoing malolactic fermentation. It's aged four years, then another six months post-disgorgement, with a dosage of 7 g/lLTasted: 21 October 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:| BC | $97.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
