Campogiovanni Brunello di Montalcino 2020
Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyThe Campogiovanni Brunello has regularly given one of the richest, forward styled wines to come out of the Montalcino DOCG zone. The 12 hectare site sits on Hébier clay soils on the warm southern slopes of the hill of Montalcino, where attaining phenolic ripeness is easy, thus revealing its powerful underside. It spends 36 months aging in large Slavonian oak botti, followed by a further 12 months in bottle. In 2020, it opens with a plethora of rich, wild berry fruit, with hints of cedar, leather, and tobacco that weave a story of savoury richness, designed for a wild boar dinner menu.Tasted: 30 October 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:| BC | $135.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
