Blasted Church Small Blessings Cross to Bear 2023

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe year began with some winter damage, leading to a smaller overall crop, although the estate vineyard yields were closer to average. The nose is subdued, with meaty red fruit dusted with cocoa and espresso. The attack is full-bodied, offering plenty of dark fruit and meaty characters, along with a silky texture. The finish is long but shows some reduced notes. Ready to drink. The cabernet franc comes from Moksha Vineyard, which overlooks the north shore of Osoyoos Lake. After fermentation, the wine was left on skins for 21 days before being transferred directly to barrels for malolactic fermentation. The oak is entirely French (47% new), with the remainder going into third-fill barrels. All is aged for 14 months before blending, then returns to oak for another 8 months.Tasted: 04 October 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
