Blasted Church Small Blessing Nothing Sacred Merlot 2023
Skaha Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Nothing Sacred Merlot is grown on the Skaha Bench. The nose is filled with dark fruits, spice, leather, and cocoa. On the palate, black cherry, cedar, and refined tannins contribute to the rich flavours and textures of this reserve styled merlot. It is youthful and will benefit from more time in the bottle, but would be excellent now if paired with a prime rib roast. It is hand harvested, cold soaked, fermented on skins for extended periods, aged in French oak (50% new and 50%second fill), and further aged after assemblage.
