Blasted Church Cabernet Franc 2022

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaExpect a soft, approachable red with notes of local sagebrush, dark plums, and cigar leaf. The palate features plum and brambleberries, all surrounded by softish, fine-grained tannins, ready to drink. Braised beef or a mushroom pasta dish would be ideal pairings. The fruit was hand harvested from Moksha Vineyard north of Osoyoos, and the Redbrick Vineyard on the Osoyoos East Bench. In the winery, the fruit underwent a five day cold soak before fermentation, with daily pump-overs as needed. After 24 days on the skins, the free run juice was drained directly into French oak barrels, 15% of which were new. The remaining blend was aged in second, fourth, and neutral barrels for one year. After blending, it spent another 8 months in barrel before bottling.Tasted: 04 October 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
