Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe decade has treated this 10 Year Release well. Now at 11 years, it exhibits the maturity and softness that appeal to connoisseurs while keeping much of the character from its youth. The nose is fragrant, with pleasant resin and dark plums, and the smoky hints have faded. The palate shows a bit of Saint-Émilion elegance, with beautiful aged cherry fruit, cedar, and spices. Complex and lengthy, it is perfect now. Slow-roasted meats would be an ideal pairing.
