Valle del Cachapoal, Valle del Rapel, Region del Valle Central, ChileThe grapes in this 150th anniversary wine, including petite syrah, malbec, and carmenère, are sourced from Cachapoal Valley, which boasts a unique combination of Andes Mountains' cool climate and alluvial soils that provide elegance and structure. Additionally, Maule Valley, one of the country's oldest wine producing regions, offers a Mediterranean climate. Hand harvested and then bunch and berry selected, it is fermented in stainless steel and aged in oak for 12 months. After bottling, it spends another six months at the winery. Expect a classic wild herb, boldo nose with spicy plummy fruit and a whiff of candle wax, cigar, and more grilled wild herbs in the finish. The texture is perfectly managed with smooth sides and a persistent finish.
