Domaine Artema Gamay Cru 2022
CanadaFrom three blocks of the Artema Vineyard, this gamay underwent a 12 day whole berry fermentation in stainless steel before completing fermentation in tank, then aged with 20% new French oak. In the glass, it shows a very pale ruby-garnet with an amber rim, a bit mature in appearance for a 2022. The nose follows suit, with slightly lifted, evolved notes of dried cranberry and red apple skin layered with potpourri and subtle toasted spice. Light-bodied on the palate, tangy acidity lifts the fruit and keeps the profile lively.
