Tightrope Winery Merlot Fleet Road Vineyard 2022
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMy first look at the 2022 merlot, made sustainably, with grapes grown at the Fleet Road and Marmot vineyards within the Tightrope Estate on the Naramata Bench. The nose is more plummy, and the acid is more prominent in this issue. Fresh and vibrant, it highlights the peppery notes on the savoury tobacco, earthy, somewhat dry finish. Impressive styling but suited more to the discerning merlot drinker.
