Rebil Viognier 2021
Cawston, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Rebil (Liber spelled backward) is a barrel aged Viognier grown on the west facing banks of the Similkameen River. It is the perfect exposition for this variety, allowing it to fully ripen under a gentle daytime sun on a site that cools down early in the evening thanks to the river. It spends six months in neutral oak for expansion, leaving the nose a fresh tangerine affair with a whiff of vanilla. The palate is equally fresh with honeysuckle, melon, apricot, and almond. The winery likes this wine with creamy lemon sage whitefish, or panko-crusted cauliflower. Me too.Tasted: 30 July 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $23.99 | 750ml | winery online/direct, select private retailers |
