Rebil Estate Chardonnay 2022

Cawston, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis was barrel fermented in new French oak, on the lees for about a year, and the oak currently dominates the nose, which is more Californian in style than Burgundy. Expect the palate to be rich in tropical pineapple and honey, but the bright fruit is not as apparent at the moment. The balance is admirable. The Rebil (Liber backwards) Chardonnay is grown on the west-facing banks of the Similkameen River over a stony, rocky, sandy debris field that sits just below Highway 3, west of Mt. Kobau, and only four kilometres from the Nighthawk–Chopaka US border crossing. Ther will be big fans of this style, and in the absence of US wines in the market, it should sell well. Roasted chicken stuffed with onions and dried herbs is my dinner match.Tasted: 30 July 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
