Pentâge Winery Pinot Noir 2020

Skaha Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAs is the Pentâge way, this wine has just been released at five years old, and it is ready to drink. Pentâge Winery is a family owned boutique winery occupying 35 acres overlooking Skaha Lake in Penticton. The 2020 Pinot Noir opens with a medium-dark, purple hue with a slightly brown orange edge. Look for a strong black cherry scent with some savoury dried herbs sprinkled in. The palate is soft and mature, offering spicy, juicy cranberry, blackberry, earth, with a dusting of light tannins. There is a lot to like here, including a long, warm, persistent finish. A classic expression of the Skaha style. This pinot noir was matured for 18 months in French oak, where 30% of the oak barrels were new and the balance a mix of 2-4 years barriques and puncheons. Perfect for grilled sockeye salmon.Tasted: 07 July 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
