Marcarini Ciabot Camerano Barbera D'Alba 2022

La Morra, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyBarbera d'Alba Ciabot Camerano comes from some of the winery's sunniest vineyards. Barbera is a rustic and humble native variety of southwestern Piedmont that is surprisingly one of the most planted grapes in Italy. It opens with aromatic licorice and mushrooms along with juicy red fruits and a long, dry, full-bodied finish. Think braised beef, game, and aged cheeses. At Marcarini, Barbera is treated with respect, grown at lower yields, and then fermented traditionally in concrete and stainless steel. It is aged in older Slavonian oak for 9 months as well as stainless steel, plus two months in bottle before release. Good value.Tasted: 12 July 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
