D. Piron La Chanaise Morgon 2022

Morgon, Beaujolais Villages, Beaujolais, Burgundy, FranceDominique Piron's family has a history spanning over four centuries of winegrowing in Beaujolais, specifically in the hamlet of Morgon, dating back to 1590. Dominique represents the 14th generation of Piron winegrowers, and the wine under Dominique's name has never been better. The goal is to create characterful terroir wines that are both fruity and sophisticated at the Cru level. His sloping vineyards sit atop fragmented granite and schist, which provide the structure and minerality necessary for the wines to express their origin fully. Morgon wines age well, and this 2022, an excellent year, will be no exception: beautiful fruit, pure freshness, with terrific acidity and some tannin to aid in its ageability. You can drink it now, but if you can wait, you will be rewarded. Great value here, in this gastronomic wine.Tasted: 07 July 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
