Chronos Malbec 2020
British Columbia, CanadaThe Chronos Malbec 2020 is a small batch production (eight barrels) made by winemaker Lyndsey Schatz. It's a bold, rich red, pitching opaque black fruit with surprisingly light violets, blueberries, and meaty notes (yes, almost like Syrah) that finish with dry peppery hints. It is an excellent year that suggests it needs more time to reveal itself. Let's hope the fruit holds out and the alcohol dissipates.
