Blomidon Brut Réserve NV
Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, CanadaConfusingly, Blomidon releases a Brut Réserve NV AND a Brut Réserve vintage, so be aware when you're purchasing. This latest NV release, from the 2016, 2017, and 2018 vintages, brings together various lots of estate Chardonnay (90%) and Pinot Noir (10%) from a series of warm vintages. All of the base wines were whole cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel, with 40% MLF. Bottled in August 2019, the wine spent 4.5 years sur lattes before being disgorged in March 2024 with 7 g/L of dosage. In a harmonious place, with bright green apple, seashell, lemon pith and peel up against vanilla wafer and subtle Rainier cherry brioche notes.
