Rioja, SpainBodegas Hermanos de Peciña is firmly planted in traditional Rioja, one of perhaps a dozen of producers adhering to the tenets passed down through generations. Founder Pedro Peciña had over two decades of working in Rioja Alta before opening his own Bodega in 1992. This Viura was destemmed and left for 24 hours maceration in stainless, before native fermentation where it remains on lees for at least 6 months. Lemon verbena, white peach, meadow herbs, salted pine nuts is met with an ample deck of downy lees, finishing with a lingering salinity. With one foot in tradition and one foot in the future, this is a solid Rioja blanco to enjoy now, ideally with poultry or white fish dishes.Tasted: 20 June 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
