Lightning Rock Blanc de Blancs Riesling Knobel Vineyard Brut Nature 2022
Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis sleek, mineral driven sparkling Riesling opens with green apple skin and citrus. The vibrant and electric palate is characterized by refreshing acidity and delicate bubbles. It finishes long and dry, with notes of wet stone, citrus pith, and chalk. It's a perfect match for oysters or any shellfish. This traditional method sparkling wine is grown at Knobel Vineyard on the Summerland Bench. All the vineyard and winery work is done by hand, starting with whole cluster pressing and spontaneous fermentation in a large, neutral oak foudre. The base wine rests on its gross lees for six months before bottling for the second fermentation, and is aged en tirage for 24 months.
