Ontario, CanadaTheir top baco, this comes from a single block planted in 1984 on silty clays. Fruit was destemmed and free run, basked pressed with the top barrels selected for this cuvée, aged in new and 1 year old American barriques (50% new oak) followed by aging in foudre over 1 year. Pouring an opaque purple hue, this teems with espresso, bitter cassis, dark chocolate across a tart palate, framed with sticky / pasty tannins, finishing clipped and oak-led.
