Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FranceBased in the heart of Vacqueyras, Domaine Montirius is one of the stars of this Southern Rhône. The biodynamic estate is now run by the Saurel's 5th generation, Christine and Eric. This blend of clairette, roussanne, and grenache blanc come from 25 year old vines in sandy clay soils. It was destemmed and native fermented in stainless. Crystalline lemon, quince, green apple hums along the slender, buzzy palate, lit with stony acidity, and finishing with a wash of salinity.
