Black Sage Vineyard Whiskey Barrel Aged Red 2021
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA hot summer enveloped the South Okanagan, and one of the hottest vineyards in BC soaked up the sun and heat. Post-ferment, the wine was aged in a mix of French and American oak barrels, and near the end, it was finished in bourbon barrels. Lean, light whiskey notes permeate the final wine, full of dried blackberries, baking spices, earth, and vanilla. It is just under 15% alcohol.
