Trail Estate Chardonnay 2022
Prince Edward County, Ontario, CanadaFrom their PEC estate and its clay loams over limestone, this chardonnay comes off 10 year old vines. It was whole cluster pressed and native fermented in stainless, with full MLF. It then aged 10 months in French oak, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Pouring a deep yellow hue, this carries ripe green apple, butter, pencil shavings, and white blossoms along a lightly textural, stony palate, finishing with a bitter lemon twist.
