Meyer Chardonnay Columbia River Plateau 2024

Ancient Lakes, Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesMeyer Vineyards decided to address its chardonnay requirements for 2024 by producing a wine made entirely from chardonnay grapes grown at Newhouse Vineyard in Washington State's Ancient Lakes AVA. The wine underwent fermentation in stainless steel, followed by complete malolactic fermentation and six months of aging in neutral French oak puncheons. This results in a departure from their British Columbia version, offering a softer and riper fruit style reminiscent of California wines, rather than the higher acid, tighter style typically associated with BC. This new variant will likely appeal to those who prefer a fuller bodied wine with a subtle hint of sweetness at 5 grams per litre. It is ready for consumption.Tasted: 14 May 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
