Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaFruit for this Speck Family Reserve Pinot Noir comes off Block 100 on the Old Farm, with plantings begun in 1984, and soils of silty clays. This clone 667 fruit was destemmed and fermented in stainless, before aging in European oak (30% new) over 10 months. Fragrant black cherry, perfumed raspberry, black tea stream along a silken palate, with finely textured tannins gently framing, and guiding this to a lingering stony finish.
