Ontario, CanadaThe Goat Lady refers to Marion, who kept goats next to the vineyard when the Speck brothers were kids. Marion fed their Speck's dog, Boswell, warm bowls of fresh goats' milk, leading the dog to abandon his family and move in with her. This is a similarly creamy and rich chardy, fermented and aged in American oak for 7 months, with partial MLF. Sweet and ripe, with baked pear, perfumed blossoms, and a shorter finish, with a sweet lemon twist.
