Celler Familia Nin-Ortiz Pla de Manlleu Terra Vermella Parellada Montonega 2015
Penedès, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainThis Parellada Montonega was grown on calcareous red clays at 550m, from vines 35 years, in the Sant Miquel parcel in the village of Pla de Manlleu. This was native fermented with 2 days' maceration in oak barrels before 8 months' rest there, with bâtonnage. Developed lemon crème, river stones, quince skin courses through the palate over a bed of crushed stones, kissed with ferrous notes. Acidity is shining, though never overwhelming the textural core.
