Celler Familia Nin-Ortiz NIT de Nin Mas d’en Caçador 2022

Priorato, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainNit de Nin translates to Night of the Kids, and blends 66% garnacha and hairy garnacha, 31% carignan, and 3% white varieties planted on llicorella soils at 650m on a north facing 2ha slope of vines between 83-118 years old in Priorat's Porrera. It was whole cluster pressed and native fermented over 4 weeks in foudres, then aged in barrels of various sizes for 17 months. Potent violets, wild blackberry, thorns, crushed black plum course through this textural mountain wine, textured via the decomposed slate soils, and wrapped with sticky and firm tannins. Acidity is lofted, easily carrying the power of this wine, through a lingering saline and schistous finish.Tasted: 25 May 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
