Celler Familia Nin-Ortiz NIT de Nin Mas d’en Caçador 2015

Priorato, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainNit de Nin translates to Night of the Kids, and the 2015 blends 60% Grenache and 40% Carignan planted at 650m, with vines 76-110 years old in Porrera, Priorat. After a native ferment and 4 weeks maceration in 3000L foudre and 1 225L barrel, this rested there for 17 months. Baked black plum, wild blackberry, pipe tobacco, and thorns fill a chewy, toothsome palate, framed with ample sticky and slated tannins, finishing with a lingering and firm saline, schistous grip. Impressively powerful, still.Tasted: 25 May 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
