Beamsville Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaThis gamay comes from their Cave Spring Vineyard, on a limestone-clay sloping terrace overlooking Lake Ontario. After a month long maceration and native ferment, this aged 1 year in a mix of neutral 225L and 500L French, Hungarian, and American oak barrels. Fragrant plum and cherry lead into a tart palate, with baking spice to season, and sticky, plumped tannins to frame.
