Blasted Church Rosé Grenache Grown in Washington 2024
Washington, United StatesBlasted Church selected a Grenache from Andrews Family Vineyards in Washington for its latest rosé. The fruit was harvested on September 9th and underwent a two hour cold soak before the juice was pressed and settled in a tank. Subsequently, it was racked and transported under temperature control to British Columbia, where it was immediately transferred into neutral French oak barrels for fermentation and a six month aging period. The wine was then racked into a stainless steel tank and bottled after a month or so of tension had built up in the tank. Exhibiting a pale salmon pink hue, the rosé presents red berries, with a palate that echoes these notes alongside hints of peach, delivering a slightly richer mid-palate texture. The finish is dry, with a touch of bitterness. This wine is ready to enjoy and pairs well with roasted chicken, poached salmon, and soft cheeses as recommended by the winery.Tasted: 21 April 2025Tasted by: Prices:BC | $26.00 | 750ml | winery online/direct, select private retailers |
