Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom the Black Sage Terrace's Cerqueira Vineyard, this syrah is plumped out with 7% merlot. Mostly destemmed (15% whole clusters) before inoculation and 3 weeks' maceration. It was then aged 16 months in neutral French barrels and tank. Peppery black fruit leads and carries through the finish, seasoning a juicy palate of blackberry, cassis, and cracked baking spices.
