Anthony Buchanan Mourvèdre Pacific Northwest 2024

Rattlesnake Hills, Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesSourced from the Zillah Vineyard, Rattlesnake Hills AVA, Yakima Valley, the grapes were destemmed before going to open top tanks, and then spent 14 days on the skins. It spent 5 months in 57% amphora and 43% third fill French oak. This begins with deep, rich prunes, red raspberry, and ripe black plums. There's rich, slippery red and black fruits, dried plum, very ripe cherry all coddled by soft tannins on the palate. It's well structured and appealing, ably borne by a supporting acidity.Tasted: 20 May 2025Tasted by: Brent GushowatyPrices:
