Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesThis chenin blanc is sourced from 30+ year old vines in the certified organic Arete Vineyard, Columbia Valley AVA, that rests on sand and silt overlying gravel. They were fermented in a combination of wooden casks and concrete and spent five months on fine lees. Honey, lime peel, beeswax, green apple and a touch of apricot open before enlivening acidity highlights pure and crisp apple, lime, pie crust, quince, chamomile and pear.
