Rioja, SpainThis is classic, traditional Rioja in all the best ways: forward American oak, adding dill and coconut; ripe but juicy dark fruits in the plum and cherry spectrum; and of course, a freshness that belies the 14.5%. There's surprising structure for a 2017 Crianza, suggesting this has a long drinking window (even if it's under a Diam3 cork), but it's hard to resist now. Fantastic depth for the price.
