Stephane Usseglio Les Amandiers Rouge NV

Rhone Valley, FranceThe Usseglio family first began making wine in Châteauneuf-du-Pape after World War II, and their first vintage was released in 1949. They have since converted their vineyards to organic and biodynamic certified. This NV Vin de France is primarily declassified organic and biodynamic fruit from plots in and outside the classified Rhône appellations and blends 60% grenache noir, 10% syrah, 10% mourvèdre, 10% clairette blanche, 5% caladoc, and 5% other assorted white grapes. It was fermented and aged in concrete. Ripe and cushy blackberry, plum, and mulberry fill the medium+ palate, with soft tannins to frame and ample baking spice throughout. A friendly, welcoming CdR, well suited to grilled sausages and veg.Tasted: 15 April 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
