Stephane Usseglio Les Amandiers Blanc NV

Rhone Valley, FranceThe Usseglio family first started making wine in Chateauneuf du Pape after World War 2, and their first vintage was released in 1949. They have since converted their vineyards to organic and biodynamic certified. This NV Vin de France is primarily declassified organic and biodynamic fruit from plots in and outside the classified Rhône appellations, and blends 40% grenache blanc, 20% roussane, 20% piquepoul, and 20% clairette blanche. It was pressed and fermented cool, in stainless. Perfumed peach, fragrant blossoms, jasmine, and honeysuckle roll along a slender, lightly waxen palate, with a lick of lemon verbena on the stony spiced finish. Subtle, smart, and friendly, enjoy this with peaches and prosciutto, or baked brie and apricot compote.Tasted: 15 April 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
