Roche Artist Series Pinot Blanc 2024
Dundee Hills, Willamette Valley, Oregon, United StatesIn 2024, many Okanagan vineyards suffered significant losses due to cold weather, prompting Roche and other wineries to seek fruit from alternative sources. This pinot blanc was made Oregon grapes grown by long time friend, Russell Gladhart, and close neighbouring connections. The fruit was sourced from three meticulously tended vineyards in Dundee Hills, one of the Willamette Valley’s most widely recognized sub-AVAs. Dylan and Russell previously studied winemaking in Burgundy two decades ago, and their collaboration continues across the border. The resulting wine is a clean and refreshing style of Pinot Blanc, leaning toward a modern day Bourgogne Blanc, with notes of pear and citrus complemented by a mineral undertone. It is suitable for pairing with a variety of local shellfish.Tasted: 12 April 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $27.00 | 750ml | winery online/direct, select private retailers, restaurants |
