Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaChief winemaker Matt Dumayne has made a fortified Okanagan wine blending merlot and syrah, fermented in concrete, that is fortified mid-ferment with grape spirit distilled on site. The finished wine is aged in neutral oak for a minimum of two years before being bottled. Look for light creamy textures with peppery, sweet black cherry. chocolate, and a smooth finish.
