Mission Hill Reserve Sauvignon Blanc Grown in New Zealand 2024
Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandThe Mission Hill team contacted owner Anthony von Mandl's extended family of vintners in New Zealand to help fill the grape void left by the big freeze. This replacement wine comes from the South Island's Marlborough region, and Kiwi sauvignon fans will undoubtedly be pleased with the quality of this wine, which may be better than half the New Zealand labels sold in BC. The nose and palate are as vibrant as it gets, the acidity bright and tight, and the plate full of classic lime zest, gooseberry, and passionfruit with a hint of tropicality and minerality to keep it all crisp and flavourful through the finish. A warm, dry summer Down Under has yielded a fine, concentrated, fruit driven wine with endless shellfish possibilities.Tasted: 22 April 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $25.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
