Gusbourne Rosé 2019

EnglandFrom their Gusborne vineyards in Appledore, Kent, and near Goodwood in West Sussex, and a mix of clay, sand, chalk, and flinty loams, the 2019 blends 54% chardonnay, 36% pinot noir, and 10% pinot meunier. All were fermented in stainless, with a small amount of still red wine blended in for hue. This spent 4 years sur lattes, disgorged November 2024 with 10 g/L. Creamy and soft, with fragrant strawberry, raspberry, lemon peel wrapped around a cushy core, trailing off with lingering fine spice and more piercing English acidity. Smart and friendly for enjoying now, with or without food. *I tasted the 2019 in England, but the 2015 is on shelves in BC.Tasted: 29 April 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
